Anonymous etching, published by Claes Jansz II Visscher, after a circular print engraved by Johannes Wierix in 1568 after a painting attributed to Pieter Bruegel the Elder and dating from 1557. Impression of the 1st state, before the address of I. Allard in place of Visscher’s.

Very fine impression printed on laid paper with watermark (Foolscap with seven-pointed collar). Good margins (sheet: 296 x 345 mm). Two repaired tears on the right edge of the sheet, one of 18 mm inside the subject; a tiny repaired loss of paper in the bottom right corner of the sheet.
